Never did update ME

Hello, I understand that the master has decided not to continue with support
for ME but as I have a machine that has never been updated (fixed), I would
like to get hold of the update that was the best at the time of the service
being stopped. Can anyone confirm that this facility has been completely
removed ?

False. The Windows Update site, the Windows Update Catalogue and the
Download Centre continue as before with all Win Me patches available.
What has changed is that no new patches for Wine Me or IE6 SP1 will be
released.
