I've been unable to open javascript links on some websites. one of the
websites show an error message : 404 file not found...

I've tried looking for patches on microsoft.com but the patches they have
there are all for IE6 service pack1. I'm using IE6 service pack 2 on WinXP
Pro, thus unable to install the patches provided on the support website.

Can anyone here give me suggestions on what I can do to stop this problem?
Being unable to open javascripts has been quite a while for me. Or should I
remove and install java plug-ins?

Hi JAC,

Are you using a Hosts file? It may have entries for the addresses that the
javascript links navigate to, and or, your popup blocker may be blocking the
links because they open a popup window.

BTW - For IE6 help post to
news://microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

This is IEAK = Internet Explorer Administration Kit.
Regards.
