trojan.adclicker

Hello,

My antivirus software found a virus, trojan.adclicker.exe, in my system 32
file. My OS Windows 2000, version 5.00.2195, service pack 4. My antivirus
program can not remove the virus. On the antivirus website it tells me how
to remove it but then gives a warning about changing Microsoft setting and
that the Virus is attached to Microsoft programming and may cause problems
with my system and that everything should be backed up first.

I am almost sure that if the suggested fix does not work and i restore to
the back system, I will still have the virus.

I need to know what I should do.

Please help.
