I've tried to use a flash drive, an MP# player, and a compact flash card
reader. The system won't recognize anything as being there. I know the USB
port works because it will recognize my digital camera when I connect it to
the port. How do I get ME to recognize these devices?
Thanks for any an all suggestions!

Windows Me requires drivers for all USB devices. XP/2000/2003/Vista has
those drivers for those class devices... but for WinMe, you need to
check the manufacturer's web site for appropriate drivers.

Win Me contains the necessary drivers for most if not all flash card
readers and the like. Perhaps you are thinking of Win96/98SE where the
installation of such drivers is required.

It was a while ago - but as I recall, I had a client with Me and I
couldn't use anything USB without drivers, including Flash drives.
Unfortunately, I do not have WinMe installed on anything and I don't
have a spare box to install it on either, so I admit, I could be wrong...
