Hi,

I was playing an online radio on my laptop today on Windows Media Player 11.
I closed the window and the whole system crashed. I run Vista. Once I
restarted the laptop, I got an error message saying that WMP had disabled
certain plugins. Now I can't play any online radio stations. I get this
error: C00D10B5. I have tried everything that's suggested online, but nothing
works. I don't even know how to uninstall WMP on Vista!

Can someone help?

Ravi,

A couple of points. Firstly WMP cannot be uninstalled from Vista, it is an
integral part of the operating system. Secondly this newsgroup is for those
running the old operating system known as Windows Millennium which can only
run WMP9. You might get more help if you were to post your query to a Vista
newsgroup such as microsoft.public.windows.vista.music_picture_video or
microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player.

The error C00D10B5 normally means that WMP is not connecting to the internet
so try going to the Tools menu, clicking options and on the Player tab check
that Connect to the Internet (overrides other commands) is checked. Check
also that your firewall isn't blocking WMP from accessing the internet.

Alternatively since the problem only happened today try using System Restore
and rolling your system back to a recent checkpoint created prior to the
problem starting.
