I am using IE6 and Lotus Notes 7. We have a code to collect feedback from
website using mailto. However when we click on feedback we get the error for
not having the default mail client; although it is set to Lotus notes in IE.
The error message as below:

"Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed."

Thanks and Regards

Assuming WinXP, make certain that Lotus Notes is selected as the default for
Mail in "Set Program Access and Defaults" and in IE Tools | Internet Options
| Programs.

What happens if you Run... (e.g. press Win-R and enter:)

mailto:

If you don't get a Lotus Notes composition window then I would agree
with the message but it would have more to do with that product and
your OS than with IE.
