Please bare with me as I am computer challenged and this is my first post.
Up until a few weeks ago I was using an IBM Aptiva with Windows 98, Outlook Express (I believe OE6) and dial-up. Out of the blue, a friend came over with a 4 year old Dell computer that he no longer needed with Windows XP and Outlook Express 6. At that time he took the hard drive from my IBM tower and put it in the Dell side by side with the Dell hard drive. I ordered the DSL and in a matter of three days I was up and running.
I was able to send/receive emails in Outlook Express just fine and I was able to locate a few letters I needed from the IBM hard drive, which became IBMVOL E:. I thought I was off to the races. However, for the life of me, I have not been able to locate any of my old sent and received emails from Outlook Express from the IBM hard drive. Since I ultimately want to get these emails on a web based program, I probably should have exported them from Outlook Express to my Hotmail email before talking out the hard drive, but in the rush I didn't.
I really do not need my emails on Outlook Express on the Dell, but instead in my Hotmail account, since I would like to go web based. However, if i get them in my Hotmail account they will automatically download into my Outlook Express.
So the first and most important question is, how in the world can I find my sent and received emails on my IBMVOL E: hard drive? Secondarily, once found, do you suggest I take them directly to my Hotmail account or bring them first to Outlook Express on the Dell? In either case, how do I go about doing this?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
