FIRST, BACKGROUND ON MY PROBLEM:
I had many contacts saved in Outlook Express under one of the Identities. Then, due to an unrelated problem, I had to do a "System Restore" on my Compaq Presario computer. This essentially set the computer back to the original Windows settings it had when I first got the computer. I assume registry settings were reset, and installed DLL files were removed. In any case, I was able to retrieve emails that had existed in Inboxes by adjusting the STORE location. The one thing I have NOT been able to do is to find the Address Book for one of the Identities. I researched a bit and found that Address Books are saved as .wab files. I found three, but none seem to have the many email addresses I am looking for.
SO, HERE IS MY QUESTION(S):
Is there a way to easily examine the contents of a .wab file? Is it true that one .wab file can contain multiple address book lists (for different Identities)? If none of the 3 .wab files I found has what I am looking for, is there anywhere else (any other type of file) I might find it? Is it likely that my "system restore" overwrote my address book? (Although I do find another old address book!)
