I use IE 7 with Win XP SP2

I am sure this topic had been discussed before but I can't seem to find any
answer.

When I have several tabs open and when I close the main IE, it crashes and
asks me whether I want to report this problem.

Is there a fix to this or any work around?

Hi,
You probably have an incompatible browser add-on.
See: http://www.enhanceie.com/ie/troubleshoot.asp
for troubleshooting information.

Installing the latest version of the troublesome add-on may resolve this, or
the add on may not yet be compatible with IE7.

Hope this helps,
Don

You have installed an incompatible add-on such as google toolbar, etc. Use
this cleaner in order to clean-up your IE:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Reset button

Hello BillD

Per your suggestion I did that. It is too early to tell whether things are
resolved, thank you.

Question: after I reset the IE7, it asked me whether I wanted to turn on the
phishing feature. I selected "none"

fyi I do not have any third party add-ons.

I installed http://www.ie7pro.com/ to provide crash recovery.

Hello Jonathan

Thank you for the info on IE7Pro. It seems like a wonderful utility.
However some of the posts at their forum also talks about IE7Pro crashing
after installing it.
