MS-DOS versions prior to 5.0 were never sold as "full retail", they were only available as "OEM" with the purchase of a computer.

This didn't exist. The first version was "1.0".

5.0a wasn't a separate product, it was a patch.

"MS DOS 7.x" were not separate products, they were the underlying DOSes in Windows 95-98.
Obviously, you just found a list of DOS/Windows versions online somewhere, and copied and pasted it.
As for the rest, eBay is your friend. I just got OS/2 2.0, OS/2 2.1, PC-DOS 6 and PC-DOS 7 shrink-wrapped from there, for less than $20 each. (I already have my Microsoft collection, I am now building the IBM collection.)
If you want a real collectors item, try to find an OS/2 for PowerPC disc. Good luck with that. |
