I was hoping that someone would be able to help me with a problem I was having with my Windows Taskbar?

The problem is that the program windows which normally show on the taskbar are not there.

The problem started when I moved my windows media player toolbar across the taskbar. I seem to have lost the taskbar that displays active windows

When I turn off the WMP toolbar and put my norton status in the system tray I also loose my start menu and the taskbar and the system tray

I have tried streching my taskbar to find them but it won't let me strech the taskbar also I only have one set of the little circles that appear by toolbars and this is only there when the WMP toolbar is active

Taskbar with WMP toolbar active.

Taskbar with no toolbars active. No little circle have appeared

Does anyone have any ideas how this problem can be fixed, I came here because I heard this was a good place to come to get problems solved

Is there a way to restore it to its default setting?

Thanks

Any more info required are anything else, just ask

Hello Fez and welcome to Lockergnome!

Go here and run tweak 164. Hopefully that should restore your taskbar.

If it does indeed fix the problem I would suggest locking the taskbar so you can't accidentally do anything to it. Right click in an empty space on the taskbar > click lock the taskbar.
