SGI/Sony 24" monitor won't power up. Model GDM-90W11

I have a Sony 24" monitor that won't power up. Model GDM-90W11

It's branded as SGI 061-0021-001 but built by Sony.

When I turn it on it just "clicks" but never displays anything.

I can't find anyone in the Detroit, MI area that fixes monitors.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what to check or where to get
schematics and/or parts for it.

Not hardly worth the effort and expense when you consider the cost of a new
one (check out EBay.)

No, I can find nothing like what you're seeking. Were you thinking you could
repair it yourself, or do you have a local tech that you trust? Is it under
warranty? (I assumed not.)

If you get the click immediately you turn on, then it could be a power
supply problem, in which case you don't really need someone who can repair
monitors - anyone who can repair switch-mode power supplies, such as a TV
technician, would be able to check it out for your.

Provided, of course, that the cost of investigating the problem is less than
the cost of replacing it..
