I was trying to hit my delete key and got distracted. I hit some combo of
keys, probably high number F keys and maybe control, alt, shift, Fn or some
other lower left keyboard keys. All of a sudden, my menu, tool and address
bars condensed to one row and I can't reverse it. I can't drag. I can't
right click. There is nothing to check or uncheck.

Simultaneously, my quickstart bar and task bar at the bottom of the screen
sort of auto hides. Its not supposed to autohide, but it is a blank bar
until I click it and then everything displays. Even as I type this, it is
still displaying, but if I go to the main window, the content of the bar
disappears until I click.

Again, right click and display settings haven't helped.

Thoughts?

Not on your problem but I wish you could remember what you did, I've
been trying for months to get those three to stop on one line with
Google on a second, sometimes they stay but mostly when I crack up IE6
they've reverted to three lines.

Previously I have been able to consistently maintain them on two lines with
dragging. Now that doesn't work. The bigger problem is the task bar and
start menu at the bottom. It requires a click to expose it, and it needs to
be well-placed. Very distracting. This is ONLY in IE6. All of the screen
format elements are normal in MS Office and in Firefox. Maybe someone out
there can help both of us.

F11 (toggles Fullscreen mode)

The customizability at that stage may depend on how loaded the bar is.
E.g. it may be difficult finding a clear enough spot to right-click on.

That's why the feature is called Fullscreen. ; )

There was space for me to right click. It just wouldn't do anything.
Fortunately, blind luck was with me. For some reason, even though a reboot
failed to correct the problem, reawakening from hibernate did. I don't
understand it but I'd rather be lucky than smart. Thanks for your help.
