No, it is not a part of WinME but it indicates that a program has created a temporary file
and the program that opened it is still running, thus it can't be deleted.

To delete the file, it has to be determined what is creating the file.

You need to close ALL applications and once they are closed, see if the file is
auto-deleted. If not, see if you can manually delete it.

The following can be performed to see if some parasite is creating the file...

1) Download the following item...

Adaware SE (free personal version, v1.05)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

2) Update Adaware SE with the latest definitions
3) Reboot your PC into Safe Mode
4) Using Adaware SE, perform a Full Scan of your platform and clean/delete
any parasites found.
5) Restart your PC and perform a "final" Full Scan of your platform using Adaware

No not a Win Me file but far more likely to be a temporary file created
when you last used Adobe Acrobat. Close Acrobat and if the file still
remains, delete it.

What reason does Windows give you for not being able to delete the
file? "Access denied"? "File in use"?

Try rebooting the computer in Safe Mode and then deleting the file.

Good luck

Dave (and Ron, Mike) who answered: tks. I ran Adaware SE in Safe Mode and
could delete the file AcrF1D0 in the Windows Temp.
But now I have another Folder with 3 files in the Windows TEMP:
pftD2D5.TMP 320 KB, its Properties show: Adviser, LAResEN.dll and VcSetup
all from Symantec, as usual when trying to delete, I get the "Renaming,
moving or deleting pftD2D5.TMP could make programs not work. Are you sure
you want to do this?"
Suppose its ok to delete this Folder in Safe Mode??

BTW its the first time I can get on the Newsgroups for almost a week,
can anyone tell me if it was down, or is it my I.E...
Tks again

Reboot the PC. If it is TEMP directory, and they have a date prior than Today's date,
yes -- delete it.
