I added a old Hard Disk in my pc because I needed to copy some files from the
old HD to the one inside the pc.
But After I removed the old HD windows doesn't start. It says "Error loading
system.drv" and than it shuts down. But I can't reinstall windows(formatting
the HD) because I have many programs installed on the pc and I lost the
installations disks.
I have to solve the problem from the safe mode.
I can start the safe mode if I choose not to load all the drivers in the
step by step confirmation.
I have to notice that the bios says that "floppy fails(40)", but the safe
mode seems to find two floppy drives instead of one.
My pc has a cd player, a floppy disk, a zip driver.
I tried to disable them but I couldn't.
Help me please, I really need the programs in the pc, but not really need
the pc itself. What can I do?

So, the first thing I would try would be to reinstall the old
harddrive that you removed. You imply that Windows worked OK with this
harddrive installed, so maybe it will work OK now if you have not
changed too much.

In Safe Mode, you can copy anything from the harddrive to a floppy
disk. So copy off, whatever you cannot afford to lose. If a floppy is
not big enough, you can compress files using WinZip (or whatever
program you have installed), or you can split files into pieces. I
have used a file-splitter that is produced by JoneSoft.

I wonder, however, why you say "I really need the programs in the pc".
In general, people need the data but not the programs. They need
address lists and spreadsheets and documents, but not the actual
programs. You probably have the programs on floppy disks or CD-ROMs
already, or else you can downlaod the programs from various websites.
