Hi,
I have virtual printer with custom tabs (besides Layout and
Paper/Quality, this printer creates TIFF files) installed on my Windows
2003 Server machine. This printer has the NT4 drivers installed and it
is shared.
I have also set the Printing Defaults for the printer ( Properties -
Advanced tab - Printing Defaults).
On my NT4 clients, the printer is added through Add Printer - network
printer.
The problem is twofold -
1. When going into Document Properties - the Printing Defaults I had
set in the printers custom tab do not show up.
2. If I change any settings on a custom tab setting on the NT client
machine, hit OK, and then go back in, my settings are not retained.
Is this a nt4 - windows 2003 usermode/kernel mode incompatibility? Is
there anyway I can get my NT4 clients to pick up the shared printer's
settings?
I was previously able to do this with an NT server.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
