I see you've already trimmed it. And I think this thread segment anyhow

And I've concluded two other thread segments with Colorado that may also
be somewhere in this thread. OK, then. OK, bye.

No worry, none of this is happening any time soon. Be lucky if *any* of it

What time zone are you in, Fred? It's important that your Time Zone be
properly set, including whether the current time is Std or DST, not just
that the clock be correct. That way, people and other machines know what
time it really is for your locale. Read my article at

I had come to almost believe that up-side-down people like Candlin may
legitimately change their dates in October. However, I'm willing to side
with Terhune & say you are correct-- that everyone must do it today!
Anyhow, TZEdit appears to have worked well for me.

The updates may or may not affect Mr. Candlin at all. If they do, then the
date DST ends is just as important as the date it begins. One or the other
occurs in the spring, one or the other occurs in the fall. By convention, MS
counts the date in effect for various TZ settings as per (Gregorian)
calendar year, so any changes should be made on or about Jan 1, each year. I
will be updating my own patch yearly, some time early in the Holiday season.

Every year!? Is that for Mr. Candlin & other up-side-down people only?
Or are you expecting the U.S. to change the law again?

Gary
I used TZ_UP_9X on two computers, Win98SE and Win98FE. I ran it yesterday
on both.
Also tried again to day after setting the time correctly but nothing
changed.

For anyone the law changes for, and for the Israelis and others who are
using a different calendar wherein the term "Second Sunday", or "third
Saturday" are nonsense and thus have to be translated.

Read my article. Apply the patch. Follow the post-patch instructions (which
should also be followed after using TZEdit.)
