In response to the last advice of not being able to put the file
CPUINFO.DLL back into my computer; which is required in order to
download certain Video Players.

I mistakenly indicated (2) periods and This File has not two periods
but one. CPUINFO.DLL Secondly what is the procedure in sequence in
bringing up the Windows\System folder and putting the file
(cpuinfo.dll) into the Windows\System folder ? And will this be all
there is to it?

Open C:\Windows\System in Windows Explorer and drag the file into it.
You can open the System folder in several ways. Try opening Windows
Explorer and navigating to it or use the Start-Run box and type in:
C:\Windows\System
