Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsme>hardware (more info?)

Unit during boot finds new hardware - NO description, and cannot of course
find the drivers. The screen pops up perhaps 4 or 5 times...! Also, the CD
drive is not recognized... isn't shown on MY COMPUTER. Any ideas?

The problem supposedly began when there was an attempt to alter the display
settings, but I cannot find out what exactly transpired...
