I am dealing with a very frustrating issue with automatic user login.

I have read through all of the Knowledge Base articles and have even
installed the Tweak UI v1.33 to enable the 'Log on automatically at system
startup' but I still am having an issue.

The user name that I am using is 'Guest' and the password is blank.

When the PC has completed its startup, I click on 'Start' and I have the
option of 'Log Off...'. At this point, I cannot browse the network because
it says I am not logged in. At the DOS prompt, I invoke a 'NET CONFIG' and
it shows that the 'User name' is blank.

At this point, I click on 'Start' and 'Log Off...'.
I get the 'Are you sure you want to log off?' dialog prompt and I select
'Yes'. The screen clears and a new desktop appears and now when I select
'Start', I have a 'Log Off Guest...' option. I invoke a 'NET CONFIG' and it
shows that the 'User name' is 'GUEST' and I am also able to browse the
network.

I have tried setting it up several different ways with no password, a space
for the password, a word for the password, without the Tweak UI and with the
Tweak UI automatic log on.

The result is effectivly the same. I start the PC, wait for startup to
complete, then I have to select 'Start', and 'Log Off...'.

I have also tried changing the 'Primary Network Logon' from 'Windows Logon'
to 'Client for Microsoft Networks'. Still the same result.

Does anyone have a very simple sequence of step that I can apply to resolve
this issue?

Thanks

Delete the autologon value in the registry under

HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/network/realmodenet
