I have recently upgraded my computer and on the old (still running Win XP Pro
SP2 just w/a diff mobo) my Kingston 128MB flash drive was recongized
immediately and with no problems. Now, with a new mobo (Intel DG965RY) it
will not show up in My Comp but it accessible by Disk Management. I spoke
with Kingston and they sent me a replacement but that still doesn't work so I
guess something's wrong with my computer. I had to download SP2 again
because my upgrades caused me to redo the install of XP on the hard drive (I
used the same hd from my old computer w/no format and reinstalled XP) so I
don't know what the problem is. Also, Win XP won't recongize the removable
disk of my Creative Vision:M.
Any help is greatly appeciated! |

After upgrading the mobo you installed mobo chipset and other drivers, NOT
via winupdate?

I used the CD that came with the mobo. I read some other posts and they said
to reinstall the mobo drivers because since I didn't do a clean install there
could be drivers left over from the last mobo. I will do that later tonight
but any other suggestions are greatly appeciated.

I tried reinstalling the mobo drivers but that didn't help. Windows still
won't reconigze the flash drive in My Computer.
Any other suggestions/comments?
