I'm trying to run an MS-DOS batch file in Windows XP Pro and I want to get
rid of the messages that pop up before it runs, can anyone give me any
suggestions ?

The first message that comes up is;

The publisher could not be verified are you sure you want to run this
software ?

Thanks,

You can get rid of the message globally, but not on a program-by-program
basis.

For assistance in running older software on XP go to the Help and
Support Center and see the article 'Getting older programs to run on
Windows XP'.

Sorry Ted,

I didn't read your 1st sentence, somehow I missed it. Can you tell me how I
can get rid of them globally ?? That would be fine for what I'm doing.

Thanks,

The application works fine but I just want to get rid of the unknown
publisher and run pop ups that happen before it starts.

I haven't seen that message box in a while, but IIRC there is a check
off on the message box or something to click.

Thanks Nass,

That was exactly what I was looking for.

I'm glad you found your answer.

I would be very wary about checking "Allow software to run or install
even if the signature is invalid". That can open the door to your
computer to unsafe software.

Isn't there a way to clear a particular file by right-clicking, choosing
Properties, and then setting something?
