Hi
I need to set up a small, portable stereo recording system. I want to record stereo signals from line inputs, edit the recordings, perform some basic noise reduction, normalise and save to standard CD WAV format.
I'm considering using one of the new netbooks (such as the Acer Aspire One) attached to a stereo USB capture device such as the Citonic AC1.
I use Adobe Audition on my desktop computer and I'd like to use this on the portable machine. (I prefer the user interface to that of the alternatives)
However, I'm not sure if a netbook will be fast enough to run the software sucessfully. Do any of you have experience of running this type of software on a netbook?
Would a machine with an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1GB RAM and XP Home be able to run Audition in this way?
TIA
- Tony
