when I click on the maximize button on any window, including this one, the
window maximizes but not the content. So the content remains small and the
rest of the window is white. This happened before and I resolved it by
restoring to an earlier date. Now it is happening again. Is there any other
solution?

I have fixed the problem , at least for now. I had read in one of the other
newsposts that you should enlarge the screen using the edge arrows and then
go to file and close while holding down the shift key. I had tried this to
the open window but it did not work. This morning when I first logged on to
my home page, I tried it and when I logged back on everything was working
fine. So I'll see how this goes but will keep your tip in mind if the problem
reoccurs.
