i just had to format and re-load my hard drive. (after installing the newest AVG software, my C drive was corrupted somehow!)
anyway, first question -- i know there's a way to bypass the stupid step of booting where i'm to click on my name. the guy who built my computer showed it to me last year, and it's something i open from Run, but i only did it once and now can't remember how to get into that admin area.
second question -- when the system was first built, boot time was extremely fast. then i had a couple problems, which got resolved, but boot time was slowed significantly. i always thought that when i re-ghosted my hard drive, that would go back to being fast. i also would assume that after a complete re-load of everything, it should be fast. but it's still quite slow. any thoughts?
