Request assistance. I run chkdsk every month or so just to make sure. This
time chkdsk (and Norton Disk Doctor both) came up with the following errors:

Deleting index entry filescan.dirstat1 in index $130 of file 109840.
Deleting index entry filescan.dirstat1.bak in index $130 of file 109840.
Deleting index entry FILESC~2.DIR in index $130 of file 109840.
Deleting index entry FILESC~2.BAK in index $130 of file 109840.

I then run chkdsk on bootup as Windows XP recommends to fix the problem, but
thesese entries still remain. Follwoing additional infor applies:

1. Because of this error set, chkdsk indicates it cannot complete scan and
does not SEEM to check security descriptors (Norton indicates it does
however).

2. I have SP2 and all subsequent updates installed; have never had a problem.

3. Ran Western Digital's diagnostic utility in extended mode on hard drive
and everything is perfect.

4. There have been no problems on the PC at all. its running smooth as silk,
better than it ever has.

Any ideas how tro fix these errors or if I even need to?

Thanks.

Warmest regards, Bill Gray
