Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>games (more info?)

I am temporarily available to help my mother with her
computer problem. When signing in to her msn .net
passport, a Security Alert warning occurs. It says "the
security certificate was issued by a company you have not
chossen to trust." When I review the certificate, is:
Issued to sas.zone.msn.com; Issued by: Microsoft Secure
Server; Valid from 6/3/2003 to 6/2/2004.

Even though the certificate says the above, I reinstall
the certificate, but it does not fix the problem. I have
checked the Internet options, Trusted sites, Resticted
sites and Content-- Certificates. They are working
correctly.

To compound the problem, the above error causes another
unusual screen to occur. It says, no connect is current
available. Do you wish to work offline or try again. We
click, try again and it works. I want to point out, this
problem only occurs when logging inot .net Passport.

Have you had any experience in this issue? Do you have
any suggestions. please respond asap. I am only available
to help her for a few days.

Hello Shirley (and Kenneth) Eichner,

Use these Internet Explorer Settings to connect to Zone.com: http://www3.sympatico.ca/nibblesnbits/EnterRooms.html#IE
That should enable you to overcome the certificate error, and
make absolutely sure your Windows Date & Time are correct.
