I have just recovered my computer back to factory
installation and my taskbar still appears in the Win 2000
style (ie grey with win 2000 style windows). I originally
thought this was caused by my roaming profile, but I have
not yet logged in using my roaming profile.

How can I set this back to XP appearence?

Right click on the desktop. Choose 'properties' from the context menu. Go to
the 'appearance' tab. You can now select the XP style buttons, colour
schemes etc that you want.
