aply it. |

Read the manual or go to Dell's tech support site for your specific
laptop. This isn't a Windows security issue.

You have to registry your fingerprint - and as far as I know - it only works
for logons with the provided software.

Here is a link from Dell to the d620 online manual. It refs an application
provided by dell called "security managment software". You may want to
contact dell to find out where this is located on the web. I have not been
able to find it posted on the website.

Good Luck.

Go to Dell's support pages, drivers and downloads for your model and OS and
look under the "Chipset" section for the "Broadcom Trusted Platform Module
v1.2" download...

First-of-all you register your fingerprint by a software which install
in them after register your fingerprint then u can access your pc.
But for windows security what u do you have to take device which will
work as a '*fingerprint scanner*'
(http://www.tutistech.in/fingerprint_scanner_usb.html) you can also
protect your files and folder.
