Hello, please advise...
Using Tools/Folder Options/File Types/Advanced, I changed the icons for File
Folders, Folder and Drive and now when I try to open a folder or drive it
does nothing, it does not open.
I restored the original icons but the problem persists.
Any one have a solution? |

I figured out how to fix half of the problem. I got the folders to act
normal again by editing the registry...
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell". On the right hand side of the window
you will see a value named "(Default)"; double-click on this value. Set the
value to "none". Once you make this change, your folders should instantly be
back to normal.
My Drive still wont open correctly! Please help.

Playing around with the registry long enough... I found the solution to the
second half.
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell". On the right hand side of the window you
will see a value named "(Default)"; double-click on this value. Set the value
to "none". Once you make this change, your folders should instantly be back
to normal.

Sorry guys,
I have the similar problem.
I went to tools/folder option/file types/drive/advanced
inside i accidentally set "find" as my default

So everytime i click drive c drive d or anykind of drive, it pop up find windows for me, which is very inconvenient to me.
Can anybody help me on this?? |
