Hello, when I open Task manager, I see System Idle Process using 99%
usage of my CPU. Questions: What the heck IS System Idle Process? Do I
need it? If no, how do I kill it? TIA! |

You really need to learn how to Google.
Kill it and see what happens, HoopleHead.

[System Idle Process] is merely acting as a sort of placeholder during "free
time"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Idle_Process
I understand it as marking how much processor capacity is available .. or
how much processor capacity is un-used. |

It's the time spent doing nothing. If you want to lower it, get a less
powerful CPU.

Already answered by your own post. "System /IDLE/ Process". That is
how much your system is *idle*. If I were to say that you spent a total
of 1% of your time on all your chores and 99% of your time being idle
then you aren't doing much work. The total of all processes is to add
up to 100%, so something has to hold the remainder. It's a placeholder
"process". |
