and i had 0MB free. I actually have 14G of free space. Can somebody help
me??? thanks.

hi Jimmy.
Basically i search the internet for this type of error and although i
couldn't find anything specific i found out that a problem either with virus
and spywares or a error in the full.exe file ( which i don't know nor what
nor where it is!) could be the cause. i really don't understand much about
computers. I've run a sweep for virus and spywares and that didn't solve it.
Full.exe i don't really know where it is or what to do.

Hi Helia,

Ok, so the problem has been reported on the Internet before
with this game, however the known solutions didn't work...

When you log into your computer again in Safe Mode with a
BRAND NEW Administrator account, I would like you to try
to select a CUSTOM installation method and specify where
you want the game to be installed to, which will be a folder you
have created in advance as follows:
C:\Program Files\EAGames\Sims

Let's hope that works! Smile

Hi Helia,

If you format your hard drive, all data on it will be wiped clean.
Therefore, yes you would have to reinstall Windows.. Have
you contacted Sims support first though? Their contact info can
be found in the manual / packaging for that game.

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

hello
this is a new thread.
my daughter is DISTRAUGHT that the new Sims 3 will not install on our
computer.
After much cursing, and digging around in places that I shouldn't... I am
still not able to do so.
This is an urgent issue as her boyfriend is leaving tomorrow with a church
group for 2 weeks, and I am here at home, where she can nag me without
ceasing!
HELP!
Where's a geek when you need one? :-O

Hello,

What is the problem when trying to install/play Sims 3? Any error messages?

Also check that your system meets the System Requirements of Sims 3.

Does your PC meet or exceed the minimum requirements for the game? You're
not giving us much information to go on..... what are the specs of your PC?
At least give us the make and model of your PC so we can go find the specs
and tell you if your PC is up to the requirements.

It's rather like asking us how long is the piece of string when we cannot
even SEE it, let alone try to make an educated guess from your holding it.
