First thing to try would be to install the latest update.

Next would be to update your graphics card driver (link below). You must uninstall your existing driver via add/remove programs before installing the new one.

Hello and welcome to Lockergnome!

There are two different 965 graphics cards, so we'll need to run the Intel Chipset Identification Utility to make sure you get the correct driver.

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/license_agr.aspx?url=/15660/eng/ChipUt...exe&amp - download from here and run the application. Reply with what the util says.

I downloaded it but it came up an error message:

"Intel(R)Chipset Identification Utility version 3.22 does not support Windows Vista*."

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldId=156...amp;lan - try downloading version 3.23, that says it's Vista compatible.

rite people! i have a laptop with the 965 family express, it should should run the sims 2, (it does on my laptop) the problem is i dnt think this chip supports transform and lighting, therefore it relys on the CPU to do the work, and for this too work, you need a 2 gig processor, lucky for my iv got a dual core 2 gig CPU.

i hope that solves some problems
