Dear Sir,
I face the similar problem, but is in network drives. After i map a network drive in my laptop, it won't automatic prompt the explorer screen. I try to open manually, it ask me browse a application to open the Network Drive.
how to set the Network drive default by explorer? so i can open my network drive easily.
Thank you |

| OK, I seem to have messed up both FOLDER and FILE FOLDER. Now I have just one option, "Open," which works. But I am completely unable to view my Control Panel! When I double click it, it opens the My Computer window. I right click it, the only option is Open, and once again, the My Computer window opens. I cannot access the Control Panel at all.
Can someone post the registry for both File Folder and Folder so I can reset mine to the registry defaults?
Thank you!

| I had the same problem related to trying to change the folder icon as Sivanesh but none of the fixes mentioned seemed to work. At first, every time I clicked on a folder it would open up and open source archiving program called PeaZip.I uninstalled that and then every folder click would bring up the search box like as others have reported. In frustration I deleted the entire branch of the registry coughed up by Sparda's "blablabla" remedy. Now I was hooped. I did the "blablabla" thing on my laptop to find the right registry branch, deleted the "blablabla" key, exported the entire branch, then ran it on the ailing 'puter. That was the fix, instantly. Phew. The advice about restore points and Registry backups should be heeded. I didn't but lucked out. |
