My server operations group is having a bit of a challenge with Remote Desktop
- since roaming profiles were abandoned here at work.

When remoting into different servers, they need to see the background of the
remote system, as many have backgrounds that give specific instructions, such
as "DO NOT LOGOFF" or "DO NOT REBOOT - SYSTEM xxx".

With RDP, the default is not to force the background - check box under the
Experience tab on RDP will set it.

I'd like to make it the default for all users - anyone have an idea what
registry key or addition to the registry needs to be done to accomplish this?
I'd like to push it to about 30 machines and have it done and over with.

Thanks for any assistance - I've scoured the registry and Googled this to
death, haven't found anything of substance yet.

I thought the default was to display the remote host/server
background/wallpaper? Anyway look at the following group policy.

"Local Computer Policy | Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates |
Windows Components | Terminal Services | Terminal Server | Remote Session
Environment |Enforce Removal of Remote Desktop Wallpaper"

I would think you could push that to both the Remote Desktop clients and
host/servers.

FWIW, I don't work in a domain environment so as always YMMV...
