Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>hardware (more info?)

In Devicemanager, there is a node called Multifunctional adapters. what is it
for and it is showing all multifunctional printers in my subnet. what is this
multifunctional adapter ? what is it used for ?

Expand the tree,R.click on it,properties..Or,go to run,type: Msinfo32

Multi-function printers can offer:

PC Fax
PC Scan


And depending on the make will make a "multifunction" adapter for
these feature.
