My DvD burner isn't responding. Device manager tells me "Windows successfully
loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware
device. (Code 41)". I troubleshooted, unplugged and replugged the device,
checked for new drivers, still nothing. Anyone have an idea as to what I
should do?

Maybe have a look here

CD-ROM access is missing and messages cite error code 31, code 32, code 19,
code 39, or code 41 after you remove Easy CD Creator in Windows XP

Thanks Ron, that link solved the problem in the registry.

"me too" replies are superfluous since none of the original participants are
still monitoring that OVER 3-YEAR OLD thread. Next time notice the
datestamps.

A leech site pretending to have forums by running a webnews-for-dummies
interface that submits improperly formatted posts through a gateway to
Usenet (aka newsgroups).
