Error code 100000ea, parameter1 82d68da8, parameter2 82d94c38, parameter3
f79c3cbc, parameter4 00000001.

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
Compaq PresarioSR1720NX
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 47 Stepping 2 AuthenticAMD ~1989 Mhz
Total Physical Memory 768.00 MB
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache(TM) PCI-E CARD
128mb supporting 256mb video card memory

was playing battlefeild1942 when this crash occured (twice so far). also
recieved program error when playing command and conquer generals but not a
system crash.
both seem to play fine for a while before error occurs it not an acute error
maybe caused by heat buildup? put a fan towards video cards after first time
error happened.
also I noticed that the most recent nvidea driver was not WHQL logo'd. I
added the nvidea card thinking it was better than the ati radeon express200
that came with the machine, also I added some ram from original 512 but
noticed the module I put in is older and slower speed, could this be a
factor in the error? sorry so long but better than no info at all...thanks

Need more info, I'm not a coder, I wouldn't know what to do with those
error codes, and I'm not sure a coder would know either.

Inspiron 6400...

So, what are you doing when the problem occurs? does it happen with the
computer sitting idle? Have you checked your power settings? Updated all
your drivers? Applied all the Windows updates?

Does the error say anything else? Sometimes Vista will say specifically
what failed on your system. Are you running Vista? XP?

How long have you had the system? If the computer is less than a year old
you're under warranty, call Dell, or take the system to a Geek Squad.
Bring your receipt.

thnx for the reply
when this problem occure, there is no other way then restarting the
computer.
it doesnot matter that i am working or keeping idle. it happens. power
setting is on minimal power mangement. drivers and settings are
updated.

after restarting it just says that u have recovered from a serious
error.
i am running XP home edition on my notebook.
its around 2 and half years i have got this laptop.

I don't know Geek Squad, being English, but it doesn't get a good press over
at the other XP support newsgroups...

Live and learn... but from that site I can't see any actual stores - they
only offer Remote Fixes, Home Visits, etc.

Will wait and see if the reputation they develop over here is better than
their appalling one in the States.

HEY BRO

IM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SOMETIMES I COULD KEEP THE COMPUTER ALIVE
JUST MOVING THE WHOLE SCREEN PANEL OR MOVING THE AC ADAPTER PLUG RIGHT
ON THE LAPTOP.

I ALWAYS SEND THE REPORT, SO I GOT A RESPONSE FROM WINDOWS AND DELL AND
THEY SUGGESTED ME TO USE THE DRIVER RESET TOOL. THEY SAY THERE IS A
PROBLEM WITH SOME DRIVER. I RAN DRIVER RESET TOOL BUT THERE IS NOTHING
TO CHANGE. ALSE THE DELL DIAGNOSTIC 32 BITS DOESNT SHOW ANYTHING WRONG.

SOMETIMES THE LAPTOP WORKS GOOD SOMETINES IT DOESNT.

IF U GOT SOMETHING MAIL ME TO MY USER AT GMAIL.

TAKE CARE
