Easy Way to Disconnect from Internet, Please?

I connect and disconnect my desktop computer many times daily, from my cable connection to the internet. I've been simply pulling the patch cable out of my computer or cable "modem." Now the little "arm" that locks the patch cable into its slot, has worn out/broken off. Is there a patch cable with an on/off switch built into it? That would be so much easier.
