Hi,

I have recently imaged a Dell D400 laptop from scratch with XP Pro installed on it. I have installed all the necessary device drivers however, there is a prompt for driver installation for Base System Device in Device Manager. The location of the driver in the general properties is at PCI Bus 1, Device 1, Function 3. Could someone please advice.

Install the Texas Instruments Driver under "chipset" for "PCI 7510/4510 cardbus controller "and that will fix the base system driver problem.
