In short I don't have any games that don't work.

What are your system specs and what does AoE3 do or not do?

i just got this system 2 days a go from best buy and it has crashed on me 4
times becouse of age of empire 3 and thats not good, amd 2 gig 2gig ddr
nevida 1600 some thing it cost me $800 , the only other thing i have on it is
vegas 6 and dvd architect, for editting and makeing dvd. omg i hope that
works it cost as much as the comptuer

On my old computer, which was capable of playing elderscrolls 4, i needed a
patch to play aoe 3. I cant remember the name however.

nVidia's drivers for Vista at this point are horrendous.

Chances are that's what your main issue is.

Also what do you mean by nVidia 1600? They don't make a "1600" card.

Curious what you actually have.

I bought my desktop 4 weeks ago at Best Buy and finally got Sims 2 plus all
EP's working. I got the best computer they had in the store and a lousy
7300LE video card so will have to upgrade that. I wonder why store bought
computers come with the lousy video cards. What is your video card????? That
might be the problem. I thought I wasn't gonna be able to even play Sims 2
but after updating the video card, it started doing pretty good. I have the
100.65 driver.

Dungeon Siege 2: Broken World, crashes ATI's drivers
Deal Or No Deal
Call Of Duty 2

Haven't had a chance to work on getting anything else going lately.

I play all of the C&C Red Alert Games, Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge and
Generals, & Generals Zero Hour
in perfect clarity and performance on my Vista Ultimate Edition.

My Masters of Orion 2 game crashes but Red Alert is fine.

here are the games i tested for my vista ultimate x64 :

working :
the sims 2 and all yet available expansions.
s.t.a.l.k.e.r. - shadow of chernobyl
star wars - empire at war
quake 4
command & conquer 3 - tiberium wars DEMO
the chronicles of riddick - escape from butcher bay
and virtua fighter 1 (!!) - pretty old fighting-game from 1999 without
compatibility options!

those games worked for me without any problems, the only game that had
a problem for me (crashing at videos, which ended up whith disablying
all videos by renaming) was need for speed carbon.
most of these games were tested using the microsoft-included
auto-detect-drivers for my geforce fx5500.

I tell you what. Games do work on vista.
the games on my machine do work and run decent with 2 gig of memory and a nvidia 8800 gts video card.

my games,
age of emipre 3
counter strike source, tigerwoods 2006.


core 2 duo 2.6 ghz.
2 gig of kingston memory
nvidia 8800 gts 320 mb version.
western digital harddrive 500 gb 7200 rpm.

I can't get Tiger Woods 2007 to work on Vista either
