No CAPS needed. From my another post:

> Download the file to Desktop. Right-click on the file and choose Merge. Click "Yes" to confirm. Note that this REG file does not bring back the language options in the "Spelling" tab dropdown box, but sets English as the default language. Let's know how this goes.

THE PROBLEM IS:

Under TOOLS, SPELLING, etc., there IS NO other language option given. it
just default to "this language is not available for spell checking." Have
you actually tried it, or is that just what your manual says?

I am encountering the same problem and do not know how to change the language
so my spell checker will activate and check for errors. Does anyone know how
to make these changes?

You're looking in the wrong window. In the window when WinMail first opens
look in Tools | Options | Spelling.

Alternately, you may use the following REG file to set the default spell check language:
http://www.winhelponline.com/fixes/spellchk_settings.reg

Download the file to Desktop. Right-click on the file and choose Merge. Click "Yes" to confirm.

Do it in the main WinMail windows, not the composition window.

I would re-iterate what "richard" wrote, in that I do not understand the
response.

You are in the wrong screen, probably the new mail composing screen.
Go to the main screen, Tools, Options, Spelling.

This also worked for me. What an annoying issue with a new OS!

In the Windows Mail window Try Tools>Options>Spelling Tab
English is probably preselected. Ignore that and reset it to English.
Worked for me.
