I can't delete folders (files) that I have created ... I have a large music file with a few subfolders in it and then songs in them ... I want to delete it and can't. Here is what happens:
The first box is the "are you sure you want to delete ... " I click "yes" ... Then this box occurs: Then it appears as if it is going to delete it and then this box: "destination folder access denied" appears at the top and then "Windows needs your permission to continue" is in the middle of the box ... "If you started this action, continue" .... I hit "continue" ... It goes through the motions of the beginnings of beginning to delete the file and then the box: "Destination folder access denied" - "you need permission to perform this action" but now the two choices are" "try again" or "cancel"
I have on occasion gotten around this by emptying the contents of the individual folders. However, sometimes I am still left with the empty and useless folders ... I don't want to do that here and am hoping ofr a solution. It is very frustrating.
I am the only one using the computer. I am the administrator. And, when I right click on the file and go to properties my name is there although "system" is alwys highlighted ...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jeff
