Roughly 120 minutes is considered the normal maximum for a single
sided DVD, not 150 minutes. The files get transformed, so you can't
tell by what the sum of source files are.
Better DVD burner, authoring software allows to recompress to make
things fit if you're taking about squeezing a little extra on. You can
also make more fit by lowering the bitrate when you burn the DVD. If
DVD Maker does any of that I don't know since Microsoft didn't see fit
to include it on the Vista business version which is what I have.
