Unless you have a TPM chip on your motherboard the bitlocker password will
be stored on a USB stick. You created this when you enabled bitlocker and
the machine will not boot without first inserting that USB stick. You should
also have a printed version of your password available. If you don't have
either then the data cannot be access. However, you might like to take a
look at this link to see if the bitlocker recovery password view will help:
http://www.brighthub.com/computing/smb-security/articles/32511.aspx I
haven't personally tried it so I can't comment on its effectiveness.

I'm not familiar with that model, but if it has a TPM you can't just
update the BIOS like that. A hash of the boot code is part of the
authentication to allow booting. Can you revert back to your old BIOS
code?

Call it Microsoft Security 866 727 2338 Hotline for assistance, any further
tweaks you would do with bitlocker + tpm tech would case some serious
concern

BitLocker is available only in the Enterprise and Ultimate editions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 dvd players. Users of other versions of Windows Vista could use a 3rd party encryption program to satisfy the need for full drive encryption. In the RTM release of Windows Vista, only the operating system volume could be encrypted using the GUI and encrypting other volumes required using tv WMI-based scripts included in Windows Vista in the %Windir%\System32 folder.
