Using the old XP explorer in vista for stability.
I baleave that im the first to do it.
If I am please give me the credit for discovering the work around.

Stop your icons and zip folders from crashing.
Experts and expert wannabes only.
Get explorer from the c:/windowd directory
Save email it to yourself or copy it to a disk
Place it on the desktop
R click on the explorer file on the desktop
Give it super user administrative privileges on both menues
Confirm this before you go to the next step
Hit the ctrl+shift+ESC
Kill explorer
Then using the file option new task run , go to the desktop and run the xp explorer
The xp explorer is approximately 1/3 the size of the vista explorer.
Faster and more stable
Some eye candy will be lost by running the old explorer.
I personally need stability over candy.
I can now open the zip files I make without crashing the desktop
and thats what matters to me

Hay criss long time fan, first time subscriber.

Hay I just put some of my old kid games I programed freeware on my new site flipflopgames.com

I'm currently using the old XP explorer i vista with no crashes yet
I had to find a work around because Toshiba wont let me downgrade to XP.
