It took Warkworth advice . TOOLS... OPTIONS... SPELLING

It indicated Language was English. Clicked on language drop down and changed
to French. Then chaged back to English APPLY OK

Now working fine

This is a major flaw for MS, and this fix should not be necessary - there is
still a major issue that needs to be addressed.

<sigh>
As mentioned many times in this thread, you're looking in the wrong window.
Look in WinMail's main window. The window you see when WinMail first
starts.

I was doing what Mr Chuckles was doing.
I had already started a letter and was trying to check the tools from the
"mail".
I had skipped through the help letters and missed the one saying to go to
the main page first.
Just have to hold your mouth right to get it to work Surprised)
thanks for the help.
This was real nice to have.
thanks all

I answered another post of yours. If you had bothered to read the whole
thread you would have known the answer without posting.

This proves that "Carla" is nothing more than an automated useless response
to Vista purchasers who are seeking help with a faulty load of junk called
Vista. If this "Carla" had a brain I have already said that there is NO
"options" dialogue box containrd within my TOOLS of Windows Mail. Just watch
and I bet "Carla" responds again with identical text. r (can't even spell
check this)

Uh, are you blind?
Perhaps you were looking at a sub-window instead of the main window
of Windows Mail.
