Post subject: Vista network sharing

Okay my XP machines now see the vista computer under View Network Computers,
nut when I double click to open the Vista computer, it asks for a password, I
never set a passowrd into the Vista computer, not even on computer logon, why
is this?

it's a security issue in Vista's Network and Sharing Center. Make sure you have password authentication disabled in your settings. If this doesn't help, you can also try creating an account on your computer solely for sharing to. Use that to log on to the vista computer from XP. Just be sure you remember to make sure you can access the folders/files you want to have access to via that account.
