A colleague has an HP laptop with Vista installed (business version I think). Anyway, he has an HP LAserjet 2550L and had a PS driver installed but it printed very, very slow. I told him to take five minutes to install the PCL6 driver and that would fix the speed issue somewhat. He then needed my help. He then kept reminding me whenever every 5 minutes would go by...rofl. How was I to know that this would be a walk into HP hell?

Anyway, I went through the whole thing with the going to the HP site and downloading the drivers on the 2550 page, installing the universal driver, both 5 and 6 and only having them print in B&W. I hate HP and this just confirmed my opinion.

I did solve the issue by installing the 2500 PCL driver and set the port to the dot4 one. Works like a charm now. Stupid HP is so bass ackwards. Driver is available at:
