My laptop will connect to a LAN device, but windows rejects the internet
return information.

Hence I cannot connect to the internet, despite the LAN Device saying its
'connected'.

The same LAN works fine with a laptop loaded with Windows XP.

None of the diagnostics fix the issue.

Any ideas?

DRD:
Is your Vista computer LAN configured as a "Private Network"?

Hi,
I am using Bsnl Broadband and i am using 2 laptop with the same
internet connection. i am using wireless mordem, in 1laptop i can use
WIFI but i am not able to use LAN its showing the error message like

a problem with your network router or broadband modem might be
preventing an internet connection.
if you are connected to a home network turn off the modem and unplug
the power cord. wait at least 10 seconds, and then plug the power cord
back in and turn on the modem. make sure the modem is plugged into the
cable or phone jack on the wall, and then try to connect to the
network.

could you please advice me.

Regs,
Chan.
